What does Love Look Like?

God is love.

Everything is all about love!

We don't need to agree.

We don't need to understand.

We just need to love.

His perfect love casts out all fear!

It's easy to love those who love us...

those who agree with us...

those who we have commonalities with...

those who look like us and do what we do.

But -

If we only love those ones who love us, what good is that?

Matthew 5:46

What does love look like?

1 Corintians 13:4-7

Love is patient, love is kind. it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

So -

what does it look like now?

Can you see it in those around you?

Today?

Here? In our families? at our workplace? in our neighborhoods?

It's the person holding open a door for someone else ... or carrying their groceries ... or another act of kindness

It's a child hugging a senior.

It's a puppy gazing on its owner.

It's choosing to not judge, or criticize when ideas are different.

It's someone offering prayer.

Love is an action word.
